Watercolor paintings

In school times everybody used watercolors. But in school I mostly used the colors as they were. I mean for example if there was a red ball, I just painted it with one shade of red, or mixed a different  shade than that, that was given. Nevertheless the object had just one shade of the color.

But in my free time I discovered the work of Boris Vallejo  ( click here for some pictures) and was absolutely excited. So I read a book about his art and Techniques and tried to improve my skills. I didn't use oilcolors like him, but I tried to get the best out of watercolors.

Well that's round abaout 15 years ago. I'm sure if I drew a painting with watercolors today it would look nicer. As I wrote in the blog before, the Hulk was also painted just with watercolors. And I think that result is much better than those in this blog. The Hulk was painted just three years later.
